Embracing absurdity

Is melancholy an obvious feeling?
Is it okay to find solace in those weird characters in your favorite bizarre novels?
Is it okay to find liberty in the words trapped in those worn out pages that you can’t help visiting again and again as they are some drugs to heal your fidgety mind?
May be it is!
Because may be sometimes absurdity is a moldable element
That becomes so self-evident that you devote a complete part of yourself to it
So, it’s like a dish to which everyone smatters theirs own unique self
So may be it is actually okay
When that boy who doesn’t seem to utter a word in public is the best public speaker in his mind
Or that overtly excited girl
who after taking off her mask when she’s off to bed
can’t help keeping her eyes glued to the ceiling submerged in her own hazy thoughts
Or the child who seems so enlivened and jubilant
is actually engulfed with the reason of ‘why’ behind this meaningless thing called life
May be it’s supposed to be this way
May be abnormality is actually normal
May be it is okay to have those moments of embarrassment
When your silence grows a little too adamant
When your expression takes a backseat
And you are out of words
Even when you have a sense of feeling of being implicitly judged as overreacting
May be some days are meant for handling your messy self
Those days when you are drowsed in thinking about yourself
About the events that happen to you
but doesn’t matter an ounce otherwise
Those days when you hit the rock-bottom
And all that’s printed in the memory walls of your mind
Is how unloved you have been,
How unloved you are
And how unloved you will always be
And you fill the quota by devoting the maximum limit of self-love that is possible
So may be its not obsessive to be self-obsessed
When people greet you and smile at you
only to wait for you to search for the poker mask in your pockets
So that you can steal the moment to look ignorant arrogant fool
Because you don’t even have a drop left from your self-love
To at least pretend like a sweet happy soul
So may be it’s time humanity got reshaped
With an extra layer of acceptance of everyone’s own unique absurd self
May be it’s time
we loved all unique shapes and shades of mind
Happy, melancholic, altruistic or self-obsessed
Or a completely new version of absurd.
